Liu Yong (Dean of the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering), Wang Nan (Vice Dean), Wen Qiao (Director of the Department of Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering), Zhang Min (Director of the Innovation Department), Liang Yunfeng (Director of the Academic Affairs Office), Hu Rui (Vice Director of the Department of Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering), and professor Huang Jianheng, along with their team,went to Shenzhen Taichen Optical Communication Co., Ltd. to participate in the licensing ceremony of the internship base, on the afternoon of March 23, 2023. Zhang Yiming (General Manager of Taichenguang Communication Co., Ltd., Xiao Xiangjie (Deputy General Manager), Hou Dan (Manager of Grating and Sensing Department), Engineer Li Xiaojin, Chen Tianxiang (Manager of Affairs Department), Zhao Dan (Recruitment Director), and Song Liling (Training Directo) received and discussed with visitors from our college.

At the symposium, General Manager Zhang Yiming of Taichen Optic Communication Co., Ltd. greeted the visit of Dean Liu Yong and his delegation, and introduced the company's start-up process, technological accumulation, talent demand, and future development. Dean Liu Yong introduced advantages of the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering in disciplinary construction, scientific research innovation, and industry-university joint research. The college pays lot of attention to talent cultivation, school enterprise cooperation, and constructs a training system that combines industry education, science education, and pratical education. It is committed to cultivating comprehensive talents with complete personality, independent thinking, and critical spirit. Talents will follow closely the development requirements of society and enterprises. We hope that both sides can take this opportunity to strengthen communication and interaction. The college will support the enterprise to apply joint-research projects, promote more industry-university cooperation, and achieve multi-level and comprehensive cooperation in the fields ranging from undergraduate internships, graduate enrollment in enterprises, teacher training, to school enterprise joint projects. Participants from both sides also conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges ideas on student internships, employment, graduation, competitions, and corporate recruitment. Both sides talked freely, deepened understanding and friendship, and laid a solid foundation for further cooperation. Subsequently, Dean Liu Yong and General Manager Zhang Yiming represented both sides to complete the awarding of the “Off Campus Internship Base”.
