The Advanced Nuclear Energy Research Team, led by researcher Yin Yuan, was founded in 2013. The existing "National Energy Nuclear Power Operation Safety and Life Management Center--Joint Laboratory of Nuclear Power Operation Safety"; "Shenzhen University-CGN Joint Research Center for Advanced Nuclear Energy Technology" and "Shenzhen University-Institute of Nuclear Energy Safety Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences Joint Laboratory for Advanced Nuclear Energy Technology" three scientific research platforms. The team is dedicated to the research of the physics, thermal, safety, control, fuel, materials and other key scientific issues of advanced nuclear energy systems. In the past five years, the team has presided over or participated in a number of vertical projects, including the National "973", the key research and development projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, the basic research projects of Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission, etc. More than 100 academic papers have been published, including more than 40 papers included in SCI, more than 20 papers included in EI and more than 20 papers published in high-level international conferences. In addition, the team has maintained close cooperation with major nuclear power groups for a long time, and has undertaken a number of major scientific research projects of large nuclear power enterprises such as CGN, China National Nuclear Power Corporation and China Power Investment Corporation, thus cultivating a number of outstanding talents for China's nuclear industry.
