The research team of optical fiber sensing technology is led by Wang Yiping, the National Distinguished Young Scholars, Ten thousand plan leader and Distinguished Professor. There are 6 full-time teachers (1 distinguished professor, 2 associate professors, 3 lecturers) and 9 full-time researchers. Focusing on the fields of fiber grating, new photonic devices and sensing systems, the research focuses on fiber microprocessing technology, fiber microstructure devices and sensing systems. Three provincial and municipal key scientific research platforms have been established successively with an ultra-clean laboratory area of 500 square meters, and more than 50 million yuan in optical fiber sensing equipment. In the past 5 years, it has won 25 talents and scientific research awards, such as National Distinguished Young Scholars, Ten Thousand People's Plan, Guangdong Distinguished Young Scholars, and Shenzhen Natural Science First Prize; 83 scientific research projects (23 at national level, 27 at provincial and ministerial level), Project funding of more than 50 million yuan; Published 128 SCI papers (10 in Region I and 85 in Region II); Authorized 10 Chinese invention patents and 43 utility model patents.
